Cub Scout packs spend a portion of their late summer season planning for the next Scout year. Part of this planning process involves laying out which adventures each Den (collection of Cub Scouts working on a particular rank) will be doing and during which months they plan to carry out those adventures. One thing we’ve found with Pack 4991 is that when we’ve lined up adventures in a way that works rather well, it is easy to rinse and repeat as far as the required adventures are concerned. Elective adventures can be swapped out as desired with Den Leaders giving feedback on which work well and which don’t.

Here’s an example of our Adventure plan for the Scouting year. One thing to note is that your calendar, once laid out, can be easily modified as needed. For example, during non-covid times when we would have Cub Day Camp, July would be left free from an Adventure so that focus could be placed on attending camp during that month.
